The $500 Billion Wealth Gap Bridge Campaign
This campaign focuses on the impact of individual families collectively owning “adequate” life insurance coverage to create community transformation and close the racial wealth gap in one generation.
As of 2024 in the U.S., the median net worth for Black families was $45,000. For Hispanic families, it was $66,000. And for White families it was $287,000—creating a vast wealth gap difference of nearly a quarter million dollars.
The potential inheritance created from a $500,000 life insurance policy could help a family bridge this racial wealth gap in just one generation. Our goal is to educate and activate one million diverse and underserved families to own at least $500,000 of life insurance, thereby—once those figures are multiplied together—creating $500 billion in financial protection and tax-free future income for our communities.
